About
Welcome to Restaurant Nou Raco de la Queixalada, a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque landscape of Masquefa, Barcelona. Located conveniently along the Ctra. Martorell-Capellades, this charming eatery promises both locals and visitors an authentic taste of Catalan cuisine. With a reputation built on quality and affordability, it’s no wonder that this establishment has become a favorite stop for those in search of hearty meals.
As you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere greets you, creating a relaxed dining experience. The restaurant excels in offering a diverse daily menu that showcases the best of regional flavors. Diners rave about the botifarra and salichas, both of which complement the menu's excellent value. Customer Clemens Döring emphasizes that it is "much better than other places with a daily menu," underlining the careful attention to taste and quality.
Popular dishes include the homemade croquetas, highly recommended by Laia Arranz, who describes them as "a marvel." Whether you visit on a weekday or weekend, it's prudent to call ahead for a reservation, as the restaurant can get quite busy. The terrace is a perfect spot to enjoy a plate of crispy bravas, making for a delightful culinary experience.
Entonces, the highlight here is undoubtedly the paella - praised by Ellie Grant as "amazing," this dish encapsulates the rich flavors of the Mediterranean. Coupled with a refreshing glass of sangria, it's hard to find a more enjoyable meal in the area. However, not all experiences are flawless; some diners, like Eva Cala, noted a few service delays, yet they appreciated the warm interaction from the staff.
In summary, Restaurant Nou Raco de la Queixalada stands out for its cozy ambiance, friendly service, and a robust selection of dishes that celebrate traditional Catalan cuisine. Whether you’re indulging in flavorful fideuà, savoring succulent lamb neck, or finishing off with a delightful homemade flan, your palate is sure to be satisfied. Make sure to visit this lovely establishment – your taste buds will thank you!
“ We came for lunch on a work day, thus we got the normal daily menu. We had some botifara and salichas which were all really good. For the price, you cant complain and much better than other places with a daily menu. ”
“ Amazing Paella !! We visited the area and had such a lovely lunch. We really recommend. The food was delicious and we had some tasty sangria. The staff are very friendly. ”
Expresamente no iríamos otra vez. En general aceptable. ”
“ Great Food at a More than Reasonable Price .. Friendly and Efficient Service .. Enjoyed our visit Greatly .. ”
“ Well, it was acceptable, but not nearly as great as other reviews suggest. First course, the Aubergine thing was good, but the fideuà was a bit burned and low on things that weren't pasta, and the salads were a bit short of nice things, olives, tomatoes etc, and a bit generous with the red cabbage. Mains were ... acceptable but kinda small, three mini sausages, two lonely peppers and maybe 8 circular chips. Nothing terrible, service pleasant, but more a €12 menu than an €18 one. ”
